Clare Moss
Clare Moss has always had an interest in hair, make up, nails and fashion and has a particularly special interest in nails in fashion and media.
Clare's training has allowed her to be involved in creating nail art for the media and commercial photographers, some of which has been published in national UK magazines for nails and beauty.
Clare strongly believes nails complete a woman's image or finished look and passionately carries this idea to her salon clients.
Clare truly believes nails should be recognised as an industry in its own right and not as an add-on to hair and beauty services….this is why she was so keen to create The Nail Retreat, a specialist salon dedicated solely to nails and their beauty.
Clare understands that nail treatment should be an enjoyable, fun,comfortable experience, reflected in The Nail Retreat’s atmosphere and décor.
Both Clare and Lyndsay want nail treatments to be accessible to all, and for each individual client to receive a bespoke, attentive service every single time.
Lyndsay McIntosh
Lyndsay has been highly passionate about art since a child and she very
much sees her work as an art form, creating and perfecting nails. Every
client is different and Lyndsay enjoys tailoring each set of nails
specifically to a clients needs.
Lyndsay enjoys competing in national competitions, and very much believes that it has made her a better technician in the salon.
Lyndsay took first place in the UK National Nail Competition in 2007 and has plans to actively compete and win again during 2008.
Lyndsay and Clare have known each other for four years, having met at college,and then working together in a salon.
Both were thrilled at the thought of working together again, as they not only are completely confident in each other's work, but also great friends too!!
They both want the same end goal, to have a successful business with happy clients and happy staff.
They are both very passionate about the natural nail and therefore chose their nail products very carefully so as not to harm the nail in anyway aiming to educate their clients on how to look after their nails properly with correct homecare advice.
Catriona Elliott
Salon Manager Catriona Elliott joined the team in April 2007 and feels as passionate as Clare and Lyndsay about providing the most beautiful nails in Cambridgeshire.
Catriona has always been interested in art from school and particularly enjoys the creativity of the nail industry always striving to achieve bigger and better.
In March 2009 Catriona won her first national nail competition for professional beauty and also was a finalist for the professional beauty 2009 rising star of the year.
She continues her enthusiasm in and out of the salon by competing all year round and recently has had her work published in industry magazines.
Danielle Long
Danielle Long joined the team in October 2009 after completing her nail and beauty training. She has always had a keen interest in the beauty industry which naturally developed to specialising in nails.
Danielle believes each client is different and loves being able to tailor each treatment, achieving beautiful nails meeting every need and taste.
Danielle is very excited about competing in the 2011 national nail competitions and hopes to add to the nail retreats ever growing trophy cabinet!
Sinead Dunleavy
Sinead Dunleavy also joined in October 2009 after completing her beauty and nail services VTCT at college.
Sinead particularly enjoys treating her clients to the perfect hand and foot massage, taking time to ensure it is the most relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Sinead loves being part of the nail retreats ever growing family. She thrives on the fun friendly atmosphere created in this sleek sophisticated salon.
After competing in several college competitions Sinead is excited to compete in the 2011 national nail competitions.
Both Clare and Lyndsay pass on all their experience to their staff encouraging them to continue improving knowledge and skills. This helps Clare, Lyndsay and their staff to develop to their full potential and maintain the nail retreats award winning standards.
